Joain

Joain is a contemporary artist born in 1988. His work explores themes such as lust, regret, desire, and a wide spectrum of emotions. Since early 2021, he has been experimenting with artificial intelligence, using neural networks—also known as artificial neural networks (ANNs) or simulated neural networks (SNNs)—algorithms inspired by the human brain that mimic the way biological neurones communicate.

Joain’s work was featured at Art Basel Miami in a striking monolith installation as part of the SCOPE Art Show, held from November 9 to December 4, 2022. His vibrant, AI-driven digital artworks can be described as neural figurativism, evoking the forms of shapes, objects, or even entire environments. Rather than telling a specific story, Joain aims to craft experiences that “make people feel something” and stir genuine emotion.
