Lindsay Kokoska

Lindsay Kokoska is a Canadian multimedia artist and founder of Infinite Mantra Art Studio. She works across traditional and digital mediums, combining painting, photography, drawing, compositing, animation, and generative AI with her interest in meditation, consciousness, and contemplative philosophy. She creates abstract, surreal, and figurative environments inspired by the cosmos, inner awareness, and the unseen layers of human experience. Through movement, colour, and layered composition, her work invites viewers to pause, shift perspective, and reconnect with themselves. She aims to create spaces that encourage reflection and help people recognise the magic that already exists in their own lives.

Her background in graphic art and visual communication is reflected in the balance, rhythm, and structure of her compositions. She developed her broader artistic practice through independent studies at the Toronto School of Art, as well as explorations in abstract painting, jewellery smithing, fabric dyeing, and other traditional processes in Bali. While living and teaching in South Korea, she continued working with traditional media while becoming increasingly surrounded by technology. This period sparked her curiosity about what she could create on a computer and became a pivotal point in the development of her digital practice. She later earned a master’s degree in graphic art, further developing her understanding of digital media and visual communication. Her artistic journey has since expanded into collage, digital art, animation, and generative processes.

Her interest in meditation, consciousness, and contemplative philosophy has become central to her practice. Rather than simply creating animations, she explores how rhythm, light, and movement can influence emotional experience and perception. Her works become spaces for contemplation, where visual repetition, soft colours, and shapes encourage a sense of calm. Light plays a recurring role, representing energy, balance, and hope. Drawing inspiration from the relationship between darkness and light found in both nature and philosophy, it becomes a symbol of transformation and awareness. Whether experienced as a looping animation, digital installation, or still image, her work invites sustained attention, revealing subtle shifts that unfold over time.

Lindsay began experimenting with generative AI in 2021, training custom models on her own work and integrating them into her multidisciplinary practice. Rather than treating AI as an autonomous creator, she uses it as one tool within a broader creative process. It expands her ability to explore new visual possibilities while remaining grounded in her own artistic language. Since then, she has released works on SuperRare, Sedition, MakersPlace, KnownOrigin, Objkt, and Manifold, and most recently participated in Fellowship’s Daily Program, a curated program highlighting artists working with emerging technologies.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including Art Basel Miami (2021), NFT NYC (2022, 2023, 2024), Theatre of Digital Art Dubai (2024), LED Art Seoul (2025), LOAD Gallery in Barcelona (2025), Art Week Mexico with Space One (2026), and more recently My Body Language (2026), a group exhibition presented at Artverse Gallery in Paris and curated by Olena Yara. Her work has also been commissioned and published by organisations including Hay House UK and the Alan Watts Organization and appeared in the Lionsgate film Alice, Darling (2022).

Looking ahead, she aims to extend her practice beyond the screen through immersive installations and projection-based environments that combine moving image, sound, and interactivity. Her long-term vision is to create environments that encourage reflection and emotional wellbeing, transforming digital art into experiences that audiences can inhabit as much as observe.
